A giraffe photographed in Mikumi National Park brings the long vertical lines of the animal and the open Tanzanian savannah into a workplace. The composition works naturally as a wildlife focal point without needing the earlier copy’s speculative evolutionary story.

Tanzania National Parks describes Mikumi’s Mkata floodplain and surrounding savannah as important habitat for giraffe, elephant, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and other wildlife. Modern giraffe research now recognizes four distinct giraffe species, but the earlier claim that Mikumi giraffes form a special genetic link between reticulated and Masai giraffes is not supported by the sources reviewed and has been removed.
